When shopping for a new set of clubs in San Diego, it's important to know the measurements that define each club in order determine which one will be most suitable. These include: length from heel-toe (including grip), width at thick part and thinness/ thickness towards end; depth below rim or crown along with height off ground - all divided by 18 approximately because there are guts involved!Grip Size
Measure grips and record sizes in thousandths of an inch. Sizes likely will vary within a set of clubs. Check if the grips are the best fit based on the golfer's hand size, and re-grip if needed.
Measure and record the swing weights of all clubs. Determine the range and make sure they are all in the set range remembering the wedges may be heavier.
Measure the weight of each club in ounces or grams. Write down the measurement for each club. Keep track of the total weight for all clubs combined.
If you're not sure what your ideal lie angle is, a good way to test it is on a dynamic lie angle board. This will help you to get a more accurate measurement.
Measure and record all loft angles. Compare for a consistent progression within set and for distance gapping between each club. Make adjustments as needed.
Measure and record face angles of woods and hybrids. Compare consistency within the set and determine if face angles are influencing ball flight positively or negatively. Make adjustments as needed.
Measure or determine bounce angles on wedges. Altering the loft changes bounce angles on a 1 to 1 ratio.
Measure and record the ball speed of a ball struck with the driver and a 6-iron. Compare the results to golf averages based on your athleticism.
Measure and record the launch angle of the driver and a 6 -iron. Compare your results to the industry average, the golfer’s athleticism, and individual desires.
Measure and record the spin rate of a ball struck with the driver and 6-iron. Compare your results to the industry average and golfer’s athleticism.
Measure and record the PTR of the driver and 6-iron. Determine if you are getting the most out of your ball speed to clubhead speed transfer ratio.
