Small-Group Golf Lessons in San Diego
By Jacob Williams · December 16, 2024
A good group lesson should feel structured and personal—not crowded. Golf Upgrades limits its current junior group and adult clinic to four players so each golfer can practice with others while still receiving individual feedback.
Current small-group options
Golf Upgrades currently lists two weekly options:
- Junior group: Thursday, 4:00–5:00 PM; maximum four players
- Adult clinic: Thursday, 5:30–6:30 PM; maximum four players
Availability and pricing can change. Calendly is the source of truth for the current session details.
Who group coaching works well for
Small-group instruction can be a strong fit when you want:
- A lower-pressure way to learn alongside other golfers
- A recurring practice time on the calendar
- Individual feedback within a social setting
- Drills you can observe, repeat, and compare
- A clear introduction to instruction before booking private coaching
Players do not need identical swings or skill levels to learn together. The coach can give each golfer a specific priority while the group works within a shared session structure.
What a session may focus on
The exact topic should match the players and current clinic plan. A session may address setup, contact, ball flight, short game, putting, practice habits, or basic on-course decisions.
At the beginning of the session, be ready to share one useful goal. “I want more predictable contact with my irons” gives the coach a clearer starting point than “fix everything.”
Group lesson or private lesson?
Choose a group lesson when you value scheduled practice, a social environment, and the chance to learn around other golfers.
Choose a private lesson when you need a deeper individual assessment, are working through a specific ball-flight problem, want focused video or launch-monitor feedback, or prefer the entire session built around your game.
Neither format is automatically better. The right choice depends on your goal, comfort, and preferred learning environment.
Before you book
Review the current Calendly listing for the session description, availability, price, and any equipment notes. If a clinic is full or the schedule does not fit, compare the private lesson options on the same booking page.
